With an influx of entertainment complexes opening up in the area, Splash Kingdom wanted a way to promote the park and provide an engaging experience for guests of all ages. The Summer Concert Series was created to keep daytime guests at the park long after the sun sets and to attract a demo who love music and wants a family friendly venue to see up and coming bands.
Virtual Photo Booth, a subsidiary of Life Impact Ventures, partnered with Splash Kingdom as the official camera app for summer fun at the entertainment complex. In addition to setting up frames for the different attractions at the park, GoldCamera created a special Heffron Drive frame to cross promote the band, concert series and waterpark.
Park and concert attendees were rewarded with cool souvenir photos and a gold swag bag filled with candy for sharing photos on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Due to damp and cooler than normal temperatures, the water park and opening day had very disappointing attendance numbers. But as they say, the show must go on, and Heffron Drive and Virtual Photo Booth delivered in a big way. Splash Kingdom garnered 19,314 impressions on social media, increasing community awareness about the park opening and the summer long concert series. With better weather and traditional summer attendance, the water park expects these figures to increase ten fold for future summer concerts.
